If you want your well being take care of the planet,
if you want others well being, then take care of the planet …

(the picture is fake, it is just for the purpose to inspire to an important message)
According to some scientists, if we continue treating our planet the way we have been, in sixty years this Earth will become unproductive. There are solutions, like the “reviving” process that uses fossil carbon, but it hasn’t been adopted by the world’s major countries. However, the voice of the people is far stronger than the voice of the leaders of nations. Ultimately, the survival of any place depends on us, regardless of who leads it.
This is a message I want to share especially for my Buddhist brothers and sisters, followers of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. How many times have we heard His Holiness speak of the importance of caring for this planet? Yet, despite following his words and nodding in agreement, how many of us are truly dedicating ourselves to this cause?
If we genuinely and honestly want to practice in a way that is free from the eight worldly dharmas, there is no better practice than to engage for the well-being of planet Earth, for the environment, and against the climate crisis. This is of utmost importance. It’s not only about promoting logic, stimulating compassion, or encouraging religious harmony and world peace, as His Holiness the Dalai Lama desires. These are all vital elements, but protecting the environment and addressing the climate crisis is the one issue we often neglect or underestimate the most, even though it should be the one we prioritize given the urgency of the situation.

The math is clear: the scientific data behind climate change is not up for debate. If we continue on the current path, the Earth will become increasingly uninhabitable. The data shows that the rise in greenhouse gas emissions leads to global warming, and if this trend continues, we will face resource scarcity, extreme weather events, and irreversible environmental damage. The projections indicate that, in 60 years—or even sooner—this planet could be severely damaged. These aren’t theories; they are facts supported by scientific evidence. This is why immediate action is so urgent.
And we don’t need to start by doing something drastic, but simply by trying to analyze what we eat, where our food comes from, how we dress, and where the material of our clothes comes from. It’s not about complaining or being picky about what we eat or how we dress, nor is it about being sophisticated. It’s about opening up a sense of responsibility for our well-being and the well-being of others, because our interrelationship with others starts with what we eat and the clothes we wear.
Think about it carefully—given the current climate situation and the damage caused by humanity, does it make sense for us to focus on other practices while neglecting this one?
to me it makes me feel like I can involved in all kind of deep and vast practices but in the situation that we are now, to not consider to act for the environment is like all the other practices become useless, this is because even if we don’t see, we are responsible for our non interaction
